Honor Bus for WWII Veterans

The 16th District is sponsoring a trip for Fauquier and Culpeper County World War II veterans to visit their memorial in Washington D.C. on October 19, 2008.

We would be honored to have any  WWII veterans join us on this trip. American Legion membership is not required. WWII veterans may download the application here. Then print and complete it, and mail it in to the address on the form.

We will also need Guardians to assist us on this trip. Guardians have the honor of spending a day with true American heroes as they assist our veterans enjoy the WWII memorial. After 20 years of honorable service, Charlie retired from the United States Air Force in 1995. 

Charlie has been an active member of Purcellville’s American Legion Post 293 for 12 years, and has successfully served in many leadership positions, including Sergeant-at-Arms, Vice-Commander, and Commander.

Charlie has previously served the 16th District as its Sergeant-at-Arms and Vice-Commander.

Charlie has also been a member of Purcellville’s S.A.L. Squadron 293 for 8 years, and has successfully served in many leadership positions, including Vice-Commander, and Commander.
